Aviation Programs:
Professional Pilot Program (Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII): Designed to train Pilots for a career in Aviation.
All American Helicopters currently offers the Professional Pilot Program under the Montgomery GI Bill and will soon be offering the Professional Pilot Program under the Post 9/11 Bill. The primary difference between the 2 Bills is that under the Post 9/11 Bill you must attend college and 100% of the costs are covered. Under the Montgomery GI Bill you do not have to attend college and 60% of costs after the Private license are covered.
POST 9/11 BILL UPDATE: All American Helicopters is very close to finalizing an affiliation with a college in Texas that will enable veterans to use their Post 9/11 Bill for a Helicopter Pilot Training Program leading to an Applied Science Degree. The program will take approx 21-24 months to complete and will include all the ratings/certificates from the Professional Pilot Program (Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI and CFII).
The College has agreed to have students sign up for this program starting as early as May 2011.
The Post 9/11 Bill covers the costs for the entire Professional Pilot Program.
If you would like more information regarding the Helicopter Pilot Training Program, please email All American Helicopters at info@allamericanhelicopters.com or call Gene LaCoste at 940-389-7133.
MONTGOMERY GI BILL
All American Helicopters Flight School has received approval from the Texas Veterans Commission to provide helicopter flight training to veterans under the Montgomery GI Bill. The GI Bill is only available to veterans who have served in the armed forces. The GI Bill will cover 60% of the pre-approved training course cost through reimbursement to the veteran. Only vocational training courses are covered, which includes the following at All American Helicopters Flight School:
- Commercial helicopter training
- Instrument Rating helicopter training
- CFI helicopter training
- CFII helicopter training
Your GI Bill will not cover the costs of your Private License as it does not guarantee the pursuit of a vocation. Only vocational helicopter training programs are approved.
Professional Pilot Program: This trains you to serve as a Professional aviator, including Instructor certificates.
Private Rotorcraft/Helicopter: This is the starting point for career track pilots. Training maneuvers include emergency procedures, cross country, slopes, various types of approaches and landings.
Instrument Rotorcraft/Helicopter: You learn how to fly in limited visibility conditions, using only and relying solely upon the Instruments of your aircraft. Most commercial operators require you to have an Instrument rating.
Commercial Rotorcraft/Helicopter: Once you have your Commercial, you may carry cargo and passengers for hire. Same maneuvers as Private Pilot. More precision required for proficiency as well as in-depth ground studies.
CFI Rotorcraft/Helicopter: You need your Commercial certificate in order to get your Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). You may teach ground lessons as well as provide flight training instruction to student pilots with this rating (excluding Instrument).
CFII Rotorcraft/Helicopter: You need your Commercial certificate and Instrument rating in order to get your Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII). You may teach Instrument ground lessons as well as provide Instrument flight training instruction to student pilots with this rating.
